Metal stress relief with vibration (MEMV®)

Instead of stress-relief annealing, which needs specially suited furnaces — particularly in terms of size — and transport to them, we have for some time been relieving our parts (steel, cast iron, stainless steel and so on) with vibration technology (vibration stress relief, VSR) right at the place of manufacture.

With our mobile vibration unit we are able to offer you this service too, for workpieces of currently up to around 30 tonnes, on site at your production facility.

The benefits:

• The workpieces stay in your own plant, which also does away with considerable transport times and costs.
• Your workpieces are inspected at the same time. A poor or too-weak weld seam, for example, can be discovered.
• The process can be carried out while the welding work is still being completed = your time saving.
• Scale, especially inside hollow bodies or box sections, comes loose and is therefore easy to remove.
• A successful stress-relief process is completed in under 1 hour per workpiece. With smaller workpieces, several parts can also be treated at the same time.
• Documentation with diagrams is available immediately. Manual measurements at various points can optionally be produced as supplementary information.
• No scaling or discolouration from annealing. Can also be applied to parts that are already painted.
